The black, red and white backgrounds that were chosen for all designs to represent the love and death that encompasses Romeo & Juliet. The bloody rose in the final flyer design was chosen because it closely represents the tragedy that is Romeo & Juliet which mainly a love story. The other flyer designs did not make the cut as they did not truly represent the story of Romeo & Juliet.
